Cold Weather Has Arrived

As I write, the temperature is in the 20s outside, with some snow flurries. Winter has arrived. I don’t do winters well. Every year, I tell myself I am going to shoot outdoors more often. And I do. But only a couple of times each winter. If there isn’t any snow on the ground, I am not sure that what’s outdoors to shoot is worth braving the cold, at least nature-wise. So, indoor shooting is something my photography friends and I do often in the winter. And one of the places we go to is the University of Pittsburgh’s Cathedral of Learning. There always seems to be something new to photograph there, though going any place multiple times can lead to the feeling that you have shot it all. But frequent visits force you to try to look at things from a new angle. Like this photo looking at stairs from down low.

In addition to trying to get outdoors a bit more, I will definitely also be looking for interesting indoor areas to photograph. I’ll post any interesting locations I find here.
