Seeing Things

I was looking into a fountain at Phipps Botanical Garden a few days ago and became mesmerized by the lines that seemed to be floating through the water ripples. Were they really there? Well, the camera doesn’t lie! Well, we all know it can, but in this instance it wasn’t, as this was the final picture after some contrast enhancement. What I was seeing was, in fact, there.

After thinking about it for a while, I believe the lines are actually reflections of the greenhouse-type windows and frames. But to me, it somehow looked “primordial soup-ish.”
